I always reverted back to the bad habits that got me into the mess I\u2019ve been trying to get out of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was the biggest I\u2019d ever been. I was the unhappiest I\u2019d ever been. I can\u2019t explain to you how unenthusiastic I was about life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After losing 65 lbs with the keto diet, Claire Moorhouse is now a changed woman who inspires the weight loss community with her transformation every single day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today our journalist sits down with Claire to find out more about the routine that helped her lose weight and regain her joy of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Claire, could you explain a little bit more where it all began? Why did you start your weight loss journey?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI hit rock bottom, which is the term often associated with overeating and over drinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was drinking nearly a bottle of gin a day. I was eating pies, chips, you name it, sausage rolls. I just got to a stage where I had enough.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Literally one day I just thought, that\u2019s it, I\u2019m done now. I not only need to change this, I need to change this in a serious way, with commitment, with determination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So that\u2019s basically what I did. I just woke up one morning and I just threw myself 100% into it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve just heard of keto. I\u2019ve heard so many success stories and I have friends that have done it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I just thought\u2026 \u201cYou\u2019ve tried everything else \u2013 you might as well just give it a go.\u201d And it\u2019s working, obviously. What was the reaction you\u2019ve gotten from others?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNobody believed it was me. I posted pictures before my mom and I went to the gym.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I went to look at the comments and I was like, \u201cOh my God, nobody believes me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was really offended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And my mom said, \u201cHang on a minute, that\u2019s like the biggest compliment anybody can pay. They\u2019re saying that you literally do not look like the same person you were 11 weeks ago.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And that\u2019s true. That is completely true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I can understand why strangers wouldn\u2019t believe it, even friends and family are taking some time believing it because it\u2019s been quick. It\u2019s only been 11 weeks now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve got a personal trainer now. He said today, \u201cYou look thinner again, you\u2019ve lost more weight\u201d. And yeah, I\u2019ve dropped another 2 lbs since last week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it just feels normal now, to be honest, the way I eat and the way I\u2019m living, it\u2019s all completely changed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I saw your transformation timelapse video. It was amazing.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYeah. It just so happens that when I took the first picture of myself, I had a hangover and I\u2019d eaten really bad food.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And I looked at myself and I thought, \u201cI want to remember you. I\u2019m going to remember you because every time I think that I\u2019m going to trip up, I\u2019m going to remember that I don\u2019t want to go back there.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So then I just started taking pictures and I stuck them all together.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I mainly stuck them all together because nobody believed it was me.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I could see major changes. As I said, every five days I took a picture of myself and something had changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Have you noticed any other benefits since you started beside the weight loss?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not hungry. I\u2019m literally not hungry. My hair is growing, my nails are growing so fast. I\u2019m sleeping and waking up earlier, and when I wake up in the morning, now I\u2019m actually awake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the other benefits\u2026 I\u2019m spending about a third of the amount per week [on groceries] that I was before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m so positive. I suffered from anxiety, depression to a certain degree. [Keto] changed it, just changed everything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sounds great. Did you start this diet on your own?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve had menus that have been so repetitive that I thought, Claire, that\u2019s not everything that Keto is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I literally just went online trying to look at all the different foods that you can or cannot eat. And then I just thought, I wonder if there is an app for keto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I came across Keto Cycle by chance. I literally typed it in the app store. I took a quick look and I just thought, \u201cThat\u2019s what I want. I want the menu, all the recipes\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I want a shopping list. I want everybody else to work out the calorie count and everything else that others find so complicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I\u2019ve spoken to people that have done keto and not used an app, everybody\u2019s doing it wrong. Everybody is really doing it wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Where do you think people go wrong with keto?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m aware that I do have to pick all the different vegetables, different meats to try and make sure I get all the vitamins, all the protein.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the app does it for me. So I don\u2019t even need to worry about that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I go in groups where people are saying, \u201cOh, we\u2019re worried about the macros\u201d. And I think\u2026&nbsp; I let Keto Cycle worry about that. I just have to cook it and eat it steadily.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>So I take it you\u2019re enjoying the keto recipes?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHonestly, the food is brilliant. I\u2019m cooking things that I never imagined I would cook before. And it\u2019s so simple.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When I tell people this, I feel like I\u2019m a saleswoman for Keto Cycle. Like pushing it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But I\u2019m just being honest.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The food is beautiful, especially now. And if you\u2019re not, you\u2019re not going to get results and nothing\u2019s going to change.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I even motivate myself at the moment. I really do, honestly.
